Topic:  Lean to Innovation: A Journey of continuous Improvement

Bio

Robert was first introduced to Lean Manufacturing during his Bachelor's degree program and to Innovation during his Master's degree program. Following his tenure as a Radar Technician onboard the AWACS aircraft in the USAF, he pursued a career in various manufacturing industries for the next 20 years.

He successfully implemented these strategies in each manufacturing facility he worked in. For instance, he played a pivotal role in a Kaizen event that transformed a medical equipment batch product line into a Just in Time cell. His efforts in leading the implementation of 6S across nine areas of a large production facility earned him a Six Sigma Green Belt. Additionally, he developed and led an Idea Development program.

Since those achievements, he has applied these innovative ideas and shared his knowledge with others in every position he has held. Over the last seven years, he has been teaching Lean Manufacturing in a high school setting. He has collaborated with several industries in northeast Florida to develop a curriculum for his Manufacturing students, aiming to better prepare them for employment in these industries upon graduation.
